John R. Harding, President/CEO
Mr. Harding has more than 13 years of healthcare leadership in Florida and has a proven track record of building relationships with the physicians, employees and the communities he's served. Prior to coming to Zephyrhills, Harding served the past 10 years as President/CEO of Florida Hospital Heartland Division in Sebring and served on community boards.
Kevan Metcalfe, Chief Administrative Officer
Mr. Metcalfe has worked in the healthcare field with Adventist Health System for 25 years, of which 8 years have been at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. Mr. Metcalfe has a Masters in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is also a registered nurse. He attended the Florida Southern College and the Florida Institute of Technology. Mr. Metcalfe is licensed by the state of Florida as a Nursing Home Administrator.
Don Welch, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Welch is a Certified Public Accountant and has been working in the healthcare field for 21 years. He joined the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills team in January 1999, coming from a sister hospital in central Texas. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern Adventist University and a Masters in Business from the Crummer Graduate School of Business.
Dr. William Sangster, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Sangster attended Medical School at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, completed a surgical residency at Emanuel Hospital in Portland Oregon and a Fellowship in Health Informatics at the University of Missouri-Columbia. His surgical experience includes minimally invasive surgery and trauma. Dr. Sangster is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Informatics Association and the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Sangster brings to Florida Hospital his experience in quality assurance, patient safety and the use of information technology to improve physician workflow, including Computerized Physician Order Entry.
Ruth Hemphill, RN, MSN - Associate Vice President/CNO
Mrs. Hemphill has been an RN for 26 years with the past 16 years being in various management positions. Most of her clinical background has been in Emergency Department and Intensive Care Nursing. In addition to a BS in Education, Mrs. Hemphill earned her nursing degree from Troy State University, BS in Nursing from Graceland College and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Regis University in Denver. Ruth holds the ANA Certification in Nursing Administration and is on the national board of directors for the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Robert D. Ruchti, Vice President Operations/COO
Mr. Ruchti has been in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. He has been with Adventist Health System for 23 years. Mr. Ruchti received a bachelor degree in Pre- Medicine and Nursing from the University of Tennessee. He is a certified Risk Manager in the state of Florida, a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Ruchti has lived in the Zephyrhills/Dade City communites since 1987.
Sylvia Seals-Brown, Vice President of Human Resources
Mrs. Brown has been in the human resources field for 13 years. She has been working for Florida Hospital Zephyrhills since 1986. Mrs. Brown attended the University of Akron, where she majored in Nursing. She has her Associates degree in Business from Pasco Hernando Community College. Mrs. Brown is a member and secretary of Adventist Health System Human Resources Association and member of the West Central Florida Human Resources Association.
Bob Kamieneski, Vice President of Support Services
Dr. Kamieneski has had 30 years of Health Education experience. He has been working at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills for the last 20 years. Dr. Kamieneski is certified in Health Care Administration has a BA degree, and his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Education. He attended Boston University, Loma Linda University, Brigham Young University, and the University of Tampa. Dr. Kamieneski has also written many articles and two manuals on how to live a healthy lifestyle.
