COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Florida Hospital Zephyrhills is truly a community-based hospital. We host several events that involve our local community. Some of the special recurring yearly events are the Christmas Tree Trimming and Lighting program and the Easter Sunrise Service, that take place on the flowing greens in front of the hospital. Other daily community programs are support groups and fitness activities in our Wellness Center, health screenings and a monthly community-based newspaper, HealthLine, created by the hospital.
Florida Hospital Zephyrhills believes in investing in the many communities they serve. This is why we participate in events held by the county such as the Pasco County Fair, United Way, American Cancer Societies’ Relay for Life, American Heart Walk, Heart Ball and many other programs throughout our service area. A Speakers’ Bureau is formed, of employees and physicians, to provide speakers to local clubs and organizations and to host meetings for hospital-sponsored events.
Our hospital has a very active Foundation Board comprised of local community leaders. The foundation annually sponsors several special events to benefit the hospital. They play a very important role in the building of a future for the hospital.
